I Seek Out Role Models

My role models inspire and motivate me. I study the actions of others to help me grow.
I choose friends who share my values and embody qualities that I admire.
We guide and support each other. Spending time with them helps me to build my confidence. I change my perspective and learn how to respond differently to challenging situations.
In my faith community, I find spiritual guides who share their wisdom and insights. I discover new ways to put my beliefs into action.
At the office, I team up with mentors so I can sharpen my skills, and stay up to date in my field. I work smarter and deepen my job satisfaction.
At the gym, I notice the members who come in regularly and put their heart into their workouts. I admire their attitude and effort regardless of how much weight they can lift. They remind me to appreciate my body instead of criticizing it.
In airports and waiting rooms, I appreciate those who remain calm and pleasant when their luggage goes missing or 15 minute delays turn into hours. They show me how patience reduces discomfort.
Today, I give thanks for my role models and the impact that they have on my life. I copy the good example of others and adapt their teachings to leverage my own personal strengths.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- How have my role models changed since I was a child?
- How do I feel when I provide a positive role model for others?
- What is one example of a role model I found in an unexpected place?
