  2. Effects of Chronic Stress: Chronic stress can have a significant impact on overall health and well-being. It can weaken the immune system, increase the risk of heart disease, exacerbate digestive issues, and contribute to mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Learning to manage and reduce stress is essential for maintaining optimal health and well-being.

Recognizing the Signs of Stress: Common signs of stress include physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, and fatigue, as well as emotional symptoms such as irritability, anxiety, and mood swings. By recognizing the signs of stress, you can take steps to address and manage it effectively.

Practical Exercise:

  • Stress Awareness Journal: Keep a stress awareness journal for one week, noting down the situations, events, or triggers that cause you to feel stressed. Be sure to record both the physical and emotional symptoms you experience in response to stress. At the end of the week, review your journal to identify patterns and common triggers, as well as effective coping strategies.
