The purpose of the following is to debate how significant the impact of WW1 was in

causing the February 1917 revolution in Russia. That revolution led to the abdication of

the Tsar, the end of the autocracy, and the emergence of the Provisional Government.

The two main perspectives for the discussion are the optimistic view and the pessimistic view.
