I Am Present

I live mindfully. I slow down and savor each experience. I concentrate on the present moment rather than regretting the past or trying to predict the future.
I touch base with my body. I scan myself from head to toe to detect any areas of stiffness or tension. I stretch out and adjust my posture until I am at ease.
I embrace my feelings. By accepting my anger and sadness, I can comfort myself. I create the peace of mind I need to sort out my emotions and take constructive action.
I face challenges and disappointments head on. I examine the issues that I find unpleasant. I remember that I am in control of my reactions. I reassure myself that these events and conditions are temporary.
I celebrate my ability to use adversity to my advantage. I become more resilient.
I pay attention to my surroundings. I relish each bite of my sandwich and each sip of tea. I admire the new sculptures in my local park. I enjoy the warm breeze and sunshine that caress my face.
I listen closely to others. I connect on a deeper level. I let others know I care about them. My relationships grow stronger. I feel loved and understood.
Today, I focus my attention on the present moment. I observe my thoughts and feelings without making judgements. My mind is clear and calm.
