My Body Wants to Heal
My body has miraculous healing powers. When I am sick or injured I remember that my body is my friend.
I trust my body’s natural self-repair mechanisms. I marvel at how my immune system fights off infections. I watch how cuts heal and bones mend. I know that my body destroys cancer cells and corrects hormonal imbalances as part of its daily work.
I am grateful for all that my body does for me. I want to help it stay strong.
I use my thoughts to promote healing. I remember that many symptoms are only temporary. Even if I have a chronic condition, I can cope better if I am patient and cheerful.
I manage stress. Deep breathing and a positive attitude reduce hormones that cause inflammation. I build a strong support network among my family and friends. A peaceful mind is good for my body.
I study health issues. I read about how my body works and keep up with the latest news.
I take charge of my health care. I enjoy the benefits of modern medicine while respecting my body’s natural abilities. I work with my doctor to take responsibility for my wellbeing.
I make choices that keep my body fit and healthy. I eat nutritious foods and exercise each day. I watch my weight and practice moderation with substances like alcohol and caffeine.
Today, I listen to my body. I know that healing starts from within.
