Tolerance Means Accepting Diversity
The world is a melting pot of behaviors and beliefs. I am awed by the number of differences displayed throughout mankind. Each trait that I encounter deserves respect. Tolerance means accepting the dissimilarities that exist from one person to the next.
A society filled with diversity is an exciting and enlightening one. Variances in the way of doing things encourages me to learn other perspectives.
Knowledge is the key to longevity and I embrace learning how to exist in the midst of diversity. Being open to differing views gives me the opportunity to live well with others. Accepting differences opens me up to building meaningful relationships.
My friends come from different social and spiritual backgrounds. I avoid judging them based on the views that they embrace. Having diverse friends allows conversations to be informative and far-reaching. It is wonderful to share new thoughts and ideas with special people.
I take the time to find commonalities. The cohesion that I share with others gives us the patience and tolerance to accept our differences.
Even when the beliefs of someone else upset me, I remain open-minded. I know that the things that I misunderstand today are usually made much clearer with time.
Today, I excitedly look forward to meeting others. Challenging my mindset keeps me sharp. I am also committed to accepting diversity because it makes the world an interesting place. Life is wonderful when people are able to share new ideas with others.
