I Avoid Making a Big Deal of Petty Matters

Each day is filled with experiences that both enlighten and challenge me. I make little room for issues that barely add value to my life.

When petty matters arise, I am the first to turn away from them. I know that the time it takes to deal with small issues is better spent making positive changes in the world.

I believe that my skill sets allow me to tackle bigger challenges successfully. My fulfillment comes when I remember to focus on what truly matters in my life.

Giving too much attention to small matters is counterproductive

The energy I spend tackling petty matters takes away from my creativity. I prefer to use my energies where they make the greatest contribution.

My relationships with loved ones are healthy because I avoid holding grudges. When someone close to me upsets me, I assess its true bearing on me. I avoid overreacting and remind myself that our bond is much stronger than the effect of their words or actions.

It is easy for me to forgive when someone special to me makes a mistake.

Today, my life is fulfilling because I pay attention to what is important. Petty matters have very little place in my life because they affect the quality of my existence. I am focused on channeling my energies into positive living.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. How do I weigh situations and determine whether a matter is truly petty?
  2. What approach do I use to keep others from bringing small issues to my attention?
  3. How do I ensure that I avoid being petty?
